Today the 3 of us again, went to Lepavaara, where there is a shopping centre with 2 HUGE supermakets. The whole place is rather big, and the shops mostly sell winter wear, boots..yea and of course food. Not bad a place to shop! Oh ya, there is SUbwaY in it too... (my fav fast food in singapore.. the price? same as SG but in euros.. meaning twice as ex). We spent about 3 hours there... And i bought something I really think is quite worth! There was this shop having sales, and i bought a jacket that was on a 70% sale! So it only cost me 15 euros! And i realised that the jacket is 50% down and 50% feather, so i guess its quite a good buy. Then i dont have to look the same in every photo anymore. hahaha..

Daryl and I made this small snowman in the morning b4 we went out, outside his house. And then when i came back to my house, i saw this BIG snowman that someone else made!! Its really BIG. oh man... bigger than me. I think i want to try make something like that tmr, since i've nothing to do on a sunday here. haha... we shall see!

Suomenlinna

It snowed today! Finally.. I woke up and saw the ground filled with ice... So cooL!!! When I walked out of my hostel to meet daryl and meiqing in helsinki city, i had my very first experience with SNOW!!! It was really really pretty, and the feeling of ice falling on u.. its so fuN! Its so different from rain. It was snowing quite heavily... took a photo of my own scarf while walking.

Oh and i wrote my name on the snow for fun! this is the train station (kannelmaki). My "hometown" in Helsinki!

Today the 3 of us went to Suomenlinen, the sea fortress that is built on islands just off the coast of Helsinki (national monument) and one of Finland's cultural treasures. (copied frm the brouchure). Its very pretty there.. we took alot of photos. It has museums, restaurants etc, but we didnt visit those places. We took photos outside and luckily because of the snow today, the photos we took were nice, i believe. :) The place can be reached by taking a ferry near the helsinki city.

Oh ya... we witnessed some weird rally. ha.. then got a few police cars surrounding it. Nothing interesting, but something that i dont get to see in singapore. Hmm.. and we also saw some marching. Btw, i will be wearing the same jacket all the time, so i would seem to be in the same clothes everyday... haha.

Basically the whole apartment feels very white to me when i first stepped in. Imagine 2 opened doors and empty rooms and the stillness of the whole apartment? its quite eerie to be alone.. but now it feels better!

Orientation day... photos!

Today is the orientation day. The whole orientation is just sitting in the lecture room and hearing different people speak, informing us about the practical things and the life in Finland blah blah... Wanted to sleep halfway through. But it was useful, overall. Still in the midst of mapping modules. Sigh.. quite troublesome. Cos we have to beg for more Credits to map to our modules in SG.

Oh and I finally have room mates after 1 week! =) So happy to see them in the apartment when I came back, but I still don't know how to get closer to them. Cant force myself to talk to them and stuff. Maybe i should just wait for it (talk and become closer) to naturally happen. Anyway one of them is from Australia and the other is from France, and that's about all I know about them for now because I just met them tonight only. And they sleep so early! 9pm only they say goodnight le. Hehe..

Tapiola

Yup.. today we went to Tapiola, which is rather near school to shop. We found out that the things there at "S Market" (a supermarket) is a little cheaper than the supermarket (Alepa) that we always go to. There is also Stockmann there, and other departmental stores... and a few supermarkets. We realised that our favouritest activity is still shopping for food... haha. We were the most awake doing that. --Photos will be uploaded later.

Yeah thanks mel for telling me that youtube has project superstar... haha. Im so blur, should have suspected that they should have. Well all my favourites have been kicked out already, only left Nat to support! hehe... But dont really like him as much also... Darren is improving alot! =)

nose bleed again

sigh.. this is the 3rd time le.. and it happened when i was sleeping. I have really been drinking alot of water already. dunno why still like that. Very scared that it will be often.. then there is really something wrong with me.

Its bad on weekends, shops are closed!! Luckily the school's supermarket is still opened. So unlike singapore... on sundays, people are on a shopping spree.. I miss singapore. papa, mama. I miss them so badly. And i miss the local channel 8, 9 pm shows. I miss project superstar. I miss the food in singapore already too.

Been walking around helsinki central and familiarising myself with the place. One shocking thing I found out was, only one departmental store has free toilets, and the rest have to pay to get in... and it cost 1 euro just to pee! oh manzz... yup, and we didnt know that today is a holiday in finland and happily went to helsinki central. Stockmann ( the departmental store) was not opened! But we sort of cheated to get into the toilet... there is no one collecting the money, we have to insert the money into the door then the door can be opened. So we just waited outside the door for the person inside to open the door so that we can enter for free. haha...

The weather is slowly starting to get colder... just now there was ice formed on the ground already... so its abt 0 deg cel now. I suffered a terrible nose bleeding experience 1 or 2 days ago. it was really scary cos i dunno when it will stop and it really did take quite a long time to stop. And when i lift up my nose abit, i started to cough out the blood through my mouth with "tan". very scary. luckily daryl was with me.. =)

Daryl has been cooking for us... cooking is so much cheaper than eating out. But we are always almost cooking the same stuff... meatballs, FROzen veg (not frozen one very ex), ham and spagetti in tomato sauce.. ewwW... missing singapore food already..

admin stuff to do

jan 03, went to do all the admin stuff. went to sch to register and see the school, then to the registrar office to register as citizens so that i can buy the travel card etc etc. Couldnt have done all of these in 1 day without the help of my tutor. But still, i wanna complain him!! cos he always answer out of point when we ask him questions. Not onli that, i thnk he is weird too. He helped me and fuxiang buy burger for lunch and didnt even ask us which one we wanted. In the end I bite one mouth... oops, beef. sigh. had to change to burger. its like he just went straight to buy n never tell us that he is buying for us too. And he did alot of other weird things. And i cannot really understand his english... argh.

After a whole day, i asked daryl to come over my place. It was a really tedious trip for him. he spent alot of $ calling for help =( and had alot of difficulties finding. And his hands were so cold because he had to use one hand to press the hp buttons and call. Yea, we cant survive without a pair of gloves. exposed to the air for maybe 1 min, we will feel our whole hand numb. It will be worse when its -20 deg cel.

the plane
i couldnt slp throughout, so after the entire flight, i felt like a zombie. Transitting at london gave me troubles, we were only allowed one hand luggage and i had to squeeze 1 bag into the other.. and wear all the winter clothings so that the things in my 2nd bag and the 2nd bag can fit into my 1st bag. sigh. but in the end, we got a good officer who closed one eye on my cannot close luggage. ha...

yeah we stayed over at meiqing's tutor's house on the first nite cos the offices onli opens on the 2nd of jan. his bed is damn shiok.. very soft and i finally got some good slp! he is very shuai to me btw. haha.. will upload pics another time. too sian and tired now... anyway, he made us tea, cut fruits for us, and cooked lunch for us! (spag with chicken and tomato sauce) yummy. not bad. =)

because my hostel is in helsinki and their hostel is in espoo(which is in school) , so we had to go separate ways to get our keys and stuff. haha.. i cannot really understand my tutor cos he speaks with a weird slang... but i just laugh and nod. haha... now in my room now, very lonely, abit scared. think i will ask fuxiang over to accompany me. its really quite quiet. Non of my room mates have arrived yet... sob..

very very ex loh. travelling cost 2 to 4 euros (so far for the trains i've taken). which is 4 to 8 sing dollars! haizz... food is ex too, but heard that can get cheaper food in campus.

finland itself is cool. When i first stepped into the airport, it felt homely. (unlike london)

upsetting

stupid hairdresser.. tell her not to cut my hair she still cut. cut until so short. super upsetting. N she rebonded my hair until so messy!! im really upset. sigh. *scream*

singapore turf club

Went out for dinner with my jc friends, then I went back to the spec shop to collect my specs but the uncle closed shop for 3 days. Don't know why. Anyway after that I decided to follow my dad to the Singapore Turf Club to see see... Cos my mum is working there. Wah, the horses are really beautiful!! So shiny and pretty. It was fun to see them race... and all the uncles and gamblers are shouting for their horse numbers. Me and my dad tried to predict and played for 3 races too. But all the tickets got "eaten away". Its really hard to guess which horse is going to win... Though it was interesting to look at the horses and stuff, its a place which I think I would not step in again because the air is really bad. I think 99.999999% of the pple there smoke, and I could hardly breathe. The 0.000001% is me lah. It was really quite terrible cos i was trying to find a single spot that i can breathe good air and there wasnt any. ha...

oh man.... i think im too old to get crazy over an idol.. but Im really crazy!!! im just halfway watching the "gong" vcd. N im going mad over li lu.. the prince in the show! His korean name is kim jeong hoon. He is super super prince! cannot take it, saliva all over the mouth le. hahahah... Here is a pic of him. i wonder if im still dreaming?? I got the SEP award!!! yeahyeah... just when I least expected it, it came!! still don't know how much I am awarded, but being awarded is already enough! =) yeah... didn't put my beautiful photograph to waste. That was my last passport size photo that I liked the most. When i took it i didnt have so many pimples as compared to now. Now i really look terrible.

A good break, finally

It has been 2 months since I last posted. Such a long time. Been really busy completing projects in school and studying for exams. Alot of Ups and dOwns these few months, quite tiring. I was very affected by my mid term tests and stuff that I sort of went really crazy for a few days. Think I affected the people around me alot that time, especially my parents and daryl. Well everything is over now, finally I can have a good break after exams.

Quite happy, but at the same time, I am also preparing my stuff to bring over to finland for half a yr. Don't know how much clothes I should bring also. And my mum has been spending alot of money on me, buying me the thermal wear, gloves, the BIG jacket... I have already spent near 2000 including insurance and stuff, eXcluding the air ticket. that's why i really hope to get the NUS sep award, but my hope is gone. The supposedly week that they should release the results is over, and i didnt receive any email. Sigh. My poor parents, spending so much on their little girl.

Alot of things to talk about, but dont really wanna put them down le... too tired. haha. But i will update my blog quite often (i hope) when i m in finland. To leave memories for myself and to update my friends and parents whom I will surely MiSS like crazy....

Weiling's birthday... she didnt hold any party so me and yanjun celebrated for her at the "village" at hereen... Its the restaurant that replaced marche. super copy marche... the environment is exactly the same. We had the chocolate fondue there.. not too bad, but they way the choc was made was a little disgusting.. its white fresh milk mixed with chocolate chips.. the food was not too bad.

backgroud is fake.. oh i look terrible, didnt sleep for 2 days cos of an assignment.. sigh. in the end our lecturer extended the deadline anyway.. hai

where was i the whole september? busy studying loh. go school... come home.. do tutorials, projects etcetc. Nothing fun and exiciting... only sad stuff..

daryl's uncle passed away just a week ago.. it was realli realli sad. He was healthy and fine, and all of a sudden he is gone. He had a burst blood vessel at his brain. And went into a coma and a few days later gone le... only 54 years old. Its like.. you dunno when you're gonna die. What happens when u die? u cannot see your loved ones any more.. never get to say your last words. And where do you actually go to? Can one actually see the living after he dies? So scary... And his poor wife.. cry until so ke lian. She is very heartbroken.. i can feel it and i feel very super sad for her too. And the children too. =(

oh i wanna complain... i got this super pathetic lecturer who doesn't give lecture notes, doesnt lecture, and doesnt care whether we realli understand or not.. the lessons are conducted by the class. veri sian. hate his stupid and lazy face.

finally, updates

so long since i last blogged. Guess no one would visit my blogsite anymore.. haha... today meiqing just reminded me that i've a blog so here i m, blogging.

This semester im taking 6mod, a total of 4 projects... sobsob. But i think i will s/u one of my mods.. and i really hate this human resource module. the assessment consists of 20% class participation. =( and i havent even spoke up during the first lesson. Its really affecting me alot, lowering my happiness level. I was actually quite happy to start a new sem after such a long hol and until i know i've to take this sucky mod.

Met a small group of my jc frens at shaun's birthday party... Guess they all havent changed much.. still as vj-ish as ever. havent been keeping in touch with them. my jc class... not united... Well, the food was good at his party at his dad's restaurant, but came too slow, by the time the main course came, we were abt to leave.. abt 9 plus already.

just changed sand for my hermit crab yest... guessed my two little crabs have grown quite close to each other. always see them lying next to each other =) oh. there was one day i thought vonvon died cos its shells were broken and lying around. after that i found that it was because it was moulting! haha... scared me!

daryl bought me SE k800i!! hehe... quite a few weeks ago le. so happy, still very happy!!

hermit singh

yeah! i finally got my pets... their names? dadar and vonvon.. hehe. and they have nick names too! The hermit crabs live in shells.. (duh) and i bought extra shells for them because the uncle said that they will outgrow their shells so have to standby bigger shells. The shells have designs on them... i bought one with a football design, sheep design, singapore flag, ghost and shark.. the 2 crabs that i bot live inside the sheep and football shells... the funny think is that.. the moment i look at them when i reached home, the football one has already changed its shell to the singapore flag one which is bigger than the football shell! Too bad i didnt witness the changing of the shell... sigh.. and the football shell is wasted because its too small le. And tat is why dadar is nicknamed hermit sing...h. Ai guo.. haha.

They are still very shy, keep hiding when they see me...

tioman has been an ok trip.. cos it was rather small and therefore boring. But the ppl whom i went it make it better bahz. took alot of photos, which was fun... and swam with fishes too. got baked in the sun for onli one day, because the first day weather wasnt that good.

my 2nd yr anniversary with daryl was simple and nice... went out to sing k lunch and then walked ard and eat dinner. but he took leave specially for me so i am quite touched. Why onli quite? cos as usual.. he did it becos i requested it... better than none i guess.

In the end, I decided not to quit my job.. having a job is better than floating around and having nothing to do. Afterall, I'm sort of enjoying the fact that I dont have to work everyday, only like 2 or 3 times a week. Its quite enough for me... not too tiring.

Im going tioman next week le... heard that there is nothing much to do there except to see see and take photos. But at least this is the first time im going overseas with friends only! This wld also be a good time to catch up with meiqing n steven too. Quite looking forward to it... Havent seen pinxiu for quite a long time too.

July is a month of birthdays... mingwai, xiao xuan... actually not alot of pple but the both of them are enough to kill. haha... my two good friends turning 21 ... joining the club le. Excited to celebrate their birthdays for them!

world cup world cup---- who will win?? i think france will win. haha.. cos they beat the unbeatables BRAZIL.. my beloved england lost le.. now i support france. And i turned into a gambler le.. haha.. been betting on those matches nowadays.. think i bet about 8 matches le.. and i won 3 times only. But overall there is some winnings la... quite fun loh. Lose then lose, if win can win a few bucks mah. =) i always bet the minimum, 5 dollars. haha.. maybe im going for a bigger one for the finals.

jj rocks forever

i love junjie!! hehe... fell in love with him le.. after his concert. What can i say? it was fantastic and entertaining.. just hearing him sing melts my heart. love his voice, his talent, his looks.. so boiboi! =) too bad from my seat i can only see a small figure moving around, gotta look at the screen all the time. But its already the most expensive seat le...

feel like quitting my current part time job le. Very tiring everyday, plus school holiday has come to an end, there will be lesser working hrs for all of us and more ppl available for work too cos the ite ppl are having sch hols soon. And that day.. i lost $101.10 doing cashier... sigh. Im so so so careless, although i already told myself to be very careful le. So stupid lah... Have to pay all by myself. Florence gave me 20 bucks to help me.. i didnt want it but then she insisted. If i quit now, i will feel very dui bu qi her too. Something like, she is trying to help me, so that i feel better and will be happier here too? And also, because of my shortage, zuoping wenhao and hisyam tried to help me in the end they get scolded for helping me cover part of my shortage without letting flo know... sigh. I lian lei them le... they also dun wan me to quit n wanted to pay for me too. So how? dunno whether i can still quit or not.

Just came back from hongkong about 3 hours ago. yea! it was quite a nice trip... and i think that the best part of it was the disneyland! I haven't been to other disneylands before so i cannot compare, but i think that it is really wonderful and pretty! It very magical and really well-built. I loved the fireworks the most... so many colours and disney music was played at the same time. The rides are ok only, as most are for children... but some of the children rides are very amazing as well, especially the winnie the pooh's story. The disney parade was also fantastic... so unforgetful! Luckily it only drizzled abit on that day, if not we would have wasted the trip there. Loved the disneyland. beautiful castle, pretty buildings everywhere.






Well the other 2 days are spent shopping, but i didnt get to buy much, cause the things there are really expensive. Their standard of living is higher than sg... the food.. not really to my liking, but still considered nice. At least the stalls that i went to, the wanton noodle no chilli one.. (so i dont like) and most of the noodles cost at least hk20.. converted wld be about 4 or 5 bucks.. so its like more ex than sg. All in all... i had an enjoyable time there with my parents, my grandma, little cousin n my auntie =)

cashier?

today's my first day doing cashier alone... and i kena shortage already... very sian... but luckily got my supervisor help me. he counted everything for me and helped me top up 14 out of 22 bucks so that i dont have to pay so much. so sweet. Like daddy coming to his daughter's rescue.. he saw i looked stress.. even told me not to cry.. haha...

have to go pack for hongkong liao..last min!! update again when i come back...

work

3 days of work.. 2nd day was boring, tiring and saddening.. cos i made a mistake, and 3 ppl have to come n nag... sigh. stupid me... felt veri demoralised and was so damn tired cause i stood for like 10 hrs. 3rd day of work was fun, why? haha.. cause i had the chance to learn to be cashier! (and sit down!!) Learnt how to use the nets, visa n master machines. But im scared of being cashier alone, cos have to deal with so much money alone. i scared im absent minded n blur. N also, got eye candy. hahhahaa.. eye candy only la..

first day of work after a mth of slacking

i wish i have osim i-squeeze!!!! Ahhhh my legs hurt like mad. First and one day of work @ wild wild wet are already killing my legs, don't know how am I going to last for even tomr??? =( =( so ironic.. yest i was sitting down the whole day playing gun bound at home and was feeling bad abt sitting the whole day. Today im wishing that i have another day like yesterday to sit for all i want!! anyway first day of work was okay, except that I think im still not really used to talking to strangers and was confused abt how some stuff work. But i guess i'll learn gradually. And i think that my supervisor is great!! He was the one who interviewed me actually, he's half indian and chinese... interesting guy :) it wld be fun to get to know him more, but i guess im the sort of quieter gals that he wldnt really enjoy mixing with... time to get some rest i guess... another day of work tmr... *sobs*

sea sports camp

my cousin's wedding is over, sea sports camp is over... now my hols are very free. Looking for job but failed to find any yet...

Sea sports camp was quite fun, except that i was lousy at some stuff... The first day we went for wind surfing, which really took away all of my body's energy, such that when i went back up to shore, I was feeling nausea and weak. But it was a fun experience, pulling up the sail and trying to balance properly. I was unlucky to have taken the bigger sail, towards the end then someone changed for me a smaller one, which i can at last, at least have a chance to move a few inches on the board. haha... Kena alot of bruises from wind surfing, cos of the climbing up, and the stupid sail even hit mhy head accidentally when i fell.. so lousy loh..

The next day we had wakeboarding and sailing, both of which were total failures. Wakeboard was really bad for me because i could only get up twice in 8 times i tried. Many people tried much more than 10 times and i only tried a few times because i was feeling weak n cannot make it... For sailing, there was no wind so we used oars instead, so its not really sailing anymore..

The last activity on the last day was my fav.. kayakin! =) but daryl was sea sick towards the end so we kayak for a little shorter while then the rest. But i still enjoyed it cos its my fav sea sports.

Yup.. I wanna work!! I want to work in a shopping centre environment cos i havent tried before.. wanna be a sales assistance or cashier. haha... think if i start work now i'll be so tired everyday and wish im not working. But having nothing much planned everyday is quite a bad thing... feel like im wasting my time not working for money for my pocket.

my birthday, which is abt 2-3weeks ago.. haha

Oops... havent posted for very long!!! Too busy liao, and my 21st birthday is over, and exams are almost over as well. One more paper to go! Phew...

Had a fantastic birthday celebration, thank you everyone who came~ thank you :) I love the moment where everyone sang birthday song for me together... made me feel very happy. Also, although my birthday cake was quite "destroyed" i still love it all the same (cookies n cream ice cream is always nice). And the bbq food, my relatives were so nice to bbq food for my frens. N daryl's dad made 2 bucketful of beancurd which were emptied by the end of the party.. N also my 3 sweet friends (yanjun, pearl and xuan.. hehe)who stayed over with me and daryl.. so xing fu!!

On my actual day of birthday, i had daryl steven n meiqing to accompany me to wild wild wet... it was a really fun day, i knew i had to study but couldnt be bothered. haha.. so we met at around 12pm and travelled there, and alot of times we were trying to tickle n capsize each other while using the float. It was really funny. =) And there was this camera which took a shot of us when we were sliding down the big slide together. We made 2 attempts to pose properly n then they also bought me the photos for remembrance... after all the fun with water, we went all the way back to jp to eat sakae sushi!! and then we went to catch ice age 2. it was a lame and cute show.. veri fun n memorable day!

i've been so busy these few weeks that i have no time to update my poor blog. Presentations and quizes coming up, very tiring... arghh...

oh yah... one thing i wanna talk about is steven's birthday! Steven meiqing n i stayed over at daryl's house and in the morning b4 steven woke up, we already woke..we put powder over his spectacles and all over his hair. Haha.. of cos he was blur and abit shocked when he woke up. That was not all to it, we let bruno(daryl's dog) into his bathroom while he was bathing. Cos the bathroom had 3 doors, and we just stuck a "Out of order" sign over the lock so that he would not lock his door... We also took out the cream from the oreo biscuit and put colgate inside and offered it to him. hahahha.. how evil rite!

mid term

Completed 3 out of 4 mid term tests for this week. One more to go tomr. dont think i did very well for the tests, and tmr's cs test im sure wld be worse... cannot stand that module anymore. Its really very difficult, i dun get it!! dun understand~~ sian...

i was so digsusted with a group of guys that day in the lecture theatre... Their lecture was before mine and when i went to to find seats after their lecture, there were 2 guys standing on the chairs with their shoes on... so dirty loh!! they really very inconsiderate. And wat's worse was there was toe nails left on one of the seats! Think they spent the lecture cutting the nails and what the hell... they just left the nails on the seat. they really pissed me off like siao... i bet they thought their nails look very pretty on the seat, ppl would enjoy lookin at them. totally brainless

Had a chance to taste new zealand's ice cream in nus today!! hehe.. chose cookies n cream, coffee and some lime and lemon ice cream.. so fun!! especially on such a hot afternoon. But then i having a sore throat now, cos i ate too much durians the day before, sigh... can't talk properly.

ise chalet~

I just wanna say that i'm so proud of myself cos i just went swimming alone just now! haha... long time since i swam... it was damn shiok..the warm morning sun n the cool water. :) and now its time for mi to get started with some school stuff liao. Haven't been doing much since the mid term break, and tomr is the last day! The day before i went for my fac (ise) chalet... quite alot of pple turned up but there wasn't much interaction between my grp of frens and the rest of the ise pple. We were self-entertaining like siao! At first we ate, then we played a bit of mah jong, and that was my first time playing mah jong alone!! haha... i never played before lah, but sort of know the rules so i anyhow play loh. But was quite lousy lah, didn't even win once. Then after that mi, daryl, meiqing, steven, junyong and lishan went into a room and we played the stupid heart attack game. It was so funny that we laughed and screamed like crazy... and then we played a game also quite fun one.. supposed to give urself fake names... haha... never had such a good laugh with friends for very long.

lin jun jie's cd is finally out! not bad i guess... i think i've too high expectations for it.. my friends all say nice. hehe.. so proud of him! I like the cao cao song the most. :)

here are my flowers for valentines day... wenlee wrapped them! ha... pretty? But meiqing says the colour very indianish... 3 mid terms and 3 projects and 1 essay plus tutorials!! busy "mid term break" this week... cant wait for real holidays again... but before that still got my birthday party... dunno how it will turn out cos i don't think i have many pple to invite. probably inviting my closer friends only bah. hmm maybe i shouldnt have booked the chalet.. just celebrate at home. less troublesome also.. somemore exams will be around the corner at tt time.

sometimes when i think too much about something, i just end up confusing myself about everything. feel useless to tell anyone cos no one will understand mi since i dun even understand myself... what m i talking about....

almost mid semester already. Don't know wat my module - human factors engineering is abt loh. can u imagine? No notes, no tutorials, watch videos and discuss project during lectures. weird weird weird. And the lec doesnt reply my email!! i have decided to s/u my gem.. ha.. no confidence in it at all. And i cannot understand holbo, im just too lousy. ah, watever la...

oh man!!! i finally know how to upload photos!! haha.. no lah.. i thought need to do some other stuff to upload one, but i saw this "add image" thing to click on just now! hahahha... so ulu leh!!! But at least im being honest with my ulu-ness. haha... anyway that's mi in bangkok!

wataday

Had a super long day at daryl's house on the 2nd day of new yr, they invited lots of friends and relatives over to celebrate... so in the morning i was there to help out a little. Lots of things happened, and i was a bit sian by some things. I wore my new gior jeans there n i dirtied it abit with the satay sauce... mi and daryl lost 30 bucks in blackjack... was actually winning in the afternoon, then our luck turned bleah at nite. And i wasn't at home the whole day until at night when i went home, i found my favouritest pineapple tarts reduce to only 1/4 left. That morning there was 3/4 left loh. I was super upset cause i only get that particular bottle of pineapple tarts once a year... and for a few yrs that bottle will definitely last me a month at least... Plus, I was so miserly with it.. that day daryl came i only gave him 4... ha.. My relatives lah.. they never even give mi poor brother any hong bao some more.

Don't feel like talking about the rest liao...

happy chinese new yr!

yeaH! bought my fav fav fav jeans from giordano at last. haha... my dad bought it for mi, cost $59!! i love it manzzz... so happy. This year i bought most of my new clothes from ebase.. bought all of them at 20% discount, then the following week they had a 40% storewide... arghhh...

sigh, i think i don't really like all the modules that i'm taking this sem, and i have 3 projects!! plus, i taking an arts gem, although many ppl found it easy, i feel abit sian abt it cos sometimes i dun really understand what's happening in lec, listen to caucasian lecturing is really quite a stressful thing for me. I wan to concentrate, but my brain switches off all the time. Still can't decide whether i should s/u it or not...

zhang shao han got new cd already... i have the songs in mi laptop liao but then i dunno whether i should buy the cd or not. I think i do want the original cd, just tt i cant bear to part with my 20 bucks for songs that i already have.

Since last year's august or so, my skin condition got very bad... and then it dragged all the way to exam period. Don't know why suddenly so kong bu. For the whole of nov and dec, i've been going for facial... think it has got much better, but then the problem is still there.. still quite terrible cos i really put in a lot of effort to make it better. iTs just not fair.. some ppl dun need to care so much yet their skin is almost perfect... =( jiu ming ah.

2006

happy new year! abit late but still its already 2006. School's already opening next week. Sadly, my ah gong passed away after 4 days of the new year, so now we are all busy with the funeral stuff. He had lung cancer, and has been surviving for 1 year like that, and finally the cancer cells took away his life. Sigh.... I wish the people around me will stop smoking but even at the funeral, most of my grandpa's sons smoke. Or should I say all...

My brother has a broken ligament on his knee, think he is going for an operation soon. Then he has to go thru pysiotheraphy i think, such that he can walk like normal again... I think he will never dare to ice skate again... i hope. Dangerous stuff when he has no talent or there is no proper coach..

2005 is coming to an end... it has really been a long year for me, especially in the middle of the year. After September time seems to fly very fast... This whole holiday i rotted so much that after i finally get to work 2 days in the clinic xuan is working at, I feel so drained... so tired. Waking up at 9 plus am has been my habit during the hols and the need to drag myself up at 6.30am in the morning is really a torture.. But for money.. hah... no problem la... spent so much money during the hols with little budget, now my bank is quite empty liao.

All the hard work put in for the last semester has finally been paid off, thank god for that and thank daryl for helping me so much.. A sotong couldn't have been able to make it alone. A motivation to work as hard next semester, jia you to all my friends!

Feeling lazier to move nowadays, going to swimming and running are like becoming a chore for me... oh no.... that's very bad. They are supposedly my hobbies... what a pig i've become :(

Sigh, i wanted to buy a pair of silver chain slippers that i liked so much from m)phosis... I first saw it in the bugis branch, and then the suntec one. Thinking that there is still lot of stocks available, I wanted to wait for a week or two until i get some money to buy and wear it for chinese new year. But then when i went to some of its other branches again, there seem to be no more... I asked the sales person to check for me whether there is still anymore in other outlets but there wasnt any left. how unfortunate... i could have own a pair if i hadn't hesitated to buy it. WHy??? :( But nvm lah, xuan bought me a nice pair of sandals from the same shop as christmas present too... how coincidental

bangkok trip

jus came back from bangkok yesterday! wow... it was a really great holiday, alot of shopping and visited many nice places... my favourite place is the safari world, its like 10 times better than singapore zoo.. watched a few performances there, all very nice :) and i get to feed a cub as well... the elephant show also very nice. the elephants are trained to play sports and also painting, veri cute. And the most exciting thing i did there was para sailing! yeah, i get to fly high in the air... damn shiok!! =) And i bought at least 14 t shirts from there cos they are veri cheap... one only cost ard 4 bucks. And their earrings are mostly one for 1 sing... hehe.. nice place for shopping!

holidays

exams are finally over... time to take a good rest, these few days i've been sleeping like a pig, can sleep from 11pm to 10am and still feel tired and sleepy. don't know why.. not many plans for this holiday, just a short one month break, going to bangkok for 5 days, and the rest of the hol is for mi to rot and recover from this crazy sem. hopefully this exam will help pull my cap up as well.

-fix puzzle... miss the 'take my own sweet time' times to fix puzzles
-go swimming...i've stopped swimming since last hoL!

westlife is back

finally! after so long, they finally have another album! i cannot stand the last album they had, cant appreciate all the songs, so in the end i didnt buy their previous cd. This time i dunno whether i should buy anot... still deciding... but the songs are nice!

SEP application is over... And i got a common pool place to Finland, Helsinki University of Technology! oh my god! cant believe that i actually have a chance to go!! Cause my cap isnt high enough to compete with others, luckily meiqing helped mi mail the sep in charge... and i got a place allocated to mI!! yipeee.... which means yr 2007 i wouldnt be in singapore to celebrate chinese new year and my birthday with my family... I just cant wait for this exciting 6 mths!! somemore i've got daryl and meiqing going with me =)

exams coming in a week's time, the lectures finally ended today. hai... so much to study, dun think i can even finish studying properly.

subway day

today i only had one lecture in school, hence after that mi, daryl, meiqing and lishan decided to go holland v to eat subway!! hehe.... but....

we waited at the bus stop for nearly 20 mins before we had the chance to go up a bus cos the bus stop was so crowded. After we got up the bus, we didnt press the bell and alighted at arts forum there when the car was parked at raffle's hall. sigh... so we took about 30 minutes just to get to the car from science. by that time i was really sianz... but nvm... we got to holland v in the end! We ate our favourite subway, footlong cold cut trio!! it was damn nice lah. hehe... then after that we went to buy cakes for some fren's bday, in the end we were too tempted by nydc and sat down to eat mudpie! =) yum!

if i knew how, i will sure open a subway in nus loh... sure very good business! hehe... there is always this subway bus 95 coming into our school but there is no subway... why not replace munchie monkey with subway? haha.... or macs?
