It's finally holidays! Finished my last exam yesterday. yAY!
Daryl and I toured Turku together today! Turku started off with a 1.50euros box of strawberries at the market square!! It is halved the price that we can buy in Helsinki. The market sq only sells fruits and flowers... :)

More sights of Helsinki

Finally completed what I really need to see in Helsinki! Haha... Stupid me.. brought my camera along without my sd card (this is not the first time of course), so in the end I had to use my handphone cam. Not as sharp as what I would like my photos to be, but who can i blame except me n my blurness? :(

Anyway, it seems like only a few weeks ago that I left Singapore waving goodbye to my faimly and friends. And now it's only 4 days left to leaving Finland. Time flies...

sauna

I went for a sauna in finland yesterday... Well, the difference between here and in Singapore is that after the super sweaty sauna, we can walk out into the cold air! We wanted to go to a traditional sauna in finland, but it was under renovation, so we made do with another one in Helsinki. It cost us 7 euros and the person lent us towels for free because we took so long then decided to go in. Anyway, it was really HOT inside.. the heat was great.. when i first stepped in, i was like "oooh the heat is really comfortable!" After about 2 mins, i started to sweat like siao. I don't even sweat so much when i exercise! There were a few naked woman inside.. in fact everyone who went in were naked except us. We wrapped ourselves well with the big towel. And heng we were seperated away from the men. Cos some countries' sauna are mixed... Anyway we went in and out of the sauna 4 times, while others only did it 2 times then left le. After the sauna i felt really relaxed and happy. :)

my boring part of life in finland

The ugly state of my room after being stuck in there for a week, only using the laptop and study and doing assignment.

Occasionally, we would..
go rock climbing!

Nah.. it's fake... this is just a huge piece of rock beside my house. Really huge...

We would take a walk to Prisma... our fav supermarket here.. cause its cheap. just 15 mins walk from my hostel. Study until sian then we will take a walk there even if we had nothing in mind to buy.

The environment near my hostel. So peaceful. There are always pet dogs ard. :)

Back to work.

A post on squirrels - Seurasaari Park

We took an hour's walk to Finland's park in Helsinki. It was a long walk but it was nice to enjoy the sun n cold air. We saw this funny thing on the way there. Looks like the Chinese phrase.."yi duo xian hua cha zai niu fen shang". hahaha.. Finnish pple know this phrase too? If not then what is this doing in the middle of the road?

The park looked like a little forest to me, it is unlike Singapore man-made parks. It looked so natural and tree-ish. And of course there were lots of squirrels around! They will actually come to you if you have nuts in your hands, and they will eat it near u. Its really fun watching them eat!! They are super adorable.

The entrance

A windmill.

Storage hut

A squirrel caught in the middle of the pathment

Thank you squirrel for the nice pose on the tree! He seems to fit well into the tree huh..

you think daryl really has nuts in his hands? no loh.. he faked the squirrel. It was only a stone. And the funny thing is.. the squirrel kept believing him again n again!

But after that, a nice woman gave us some peanuts and so both of us got to feed the squirrels! It's stepping on my hand!

Nice view from the park
