Beginning my career as a teacher

A classroom can be heaven or hell, and I've finally experienced both. I'm currently co-teaching 3 diffferent classes with another teacher, shaun, and taking 2 classes on my own. The 45 sec 3 express who've dropped out of amaths have given me headache since i started teaching them. No matter how hard i tried to shout at them, they talked loudy, drew on the table, joked ard like clowns... partly cos the lesson was conducted in the library, they walked ard enjoying the aircon like nobody's business. some complained that the aircon was too cold, and most of them were doing other work or chatting ard when i asked them to do work. its really quite depressing when u see them like tt.. i ended up sitting alone in the staff room stoning almost an hour after the lesson. its like so tiring and upsetting tt i dun feel like doing anything at all and occassionally my mind would switch bac to the chaotic scene in the library, only thinking of how to 'take revenge' again the next lesson.

And then there was heaven. I'm also taking 5 sec3 normal acad students who were chosen to do emaths 'o' levels next yr. It was really so touching when i saw them copying the notes down when i was teaching. And they obediently finished the homework that i asked them to do. There was great sense of acheivement when they understood what i taught.. :)

Teaching can be fun but also can be stressful lor.. i will try not to give up too easily. Hopefully i will grow stronger, fiercer and better at controlling crazily noisy classes..
